PRESENTED BY

Wednesday, March 11
5-7:30 P.M. | Higgins Hall
Colon cancer has quietly become the deadliest cancer for adults under 50 in the United States, a shift we have not seen in nearly a decade. If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, this is a conversation you’ll want to attend. New research links increased risk to factors such as alcohol consumption, ultra‑processed foods and other disruptions to the gut microbiome. In this community conversation hosted by the Tampa Bay Times, in partnership with AdventHealth, physicians, researchers and other medical professionals from across the region will discuss the latest research into the sudden rise of colorectal cancer diagnoses and what residents can do to stay healthy and be aware of their own personal risks.
